hello? this is an experiment in change. or more specifically an experiment of the affect of limitless memory (external memory).
we have evolved beyond the need to track our way home to our mate. we have evolved beyond to need to tame a beast for transport, work, or food. we have even evolved beyond the instincts of survival and reproduction. and we have evolved beyond the need to remember. technology has forever changed our understanding of the world, and our place in it. thats where interweb comes in. it is really quite frustrating to discover with increasing consistency, how the triumphs and follies of human kind are hard fought, and kept close. in 2001: Space Odyssey, the apes stopped being apes when they started remembering, and started using tools.
every society and every civilization has grappled with the lesson of life and death. humans have been on this planet as biological regeneration, a cycle of life and death, iterations on a tiny planet in a minor galaxy. one of millions...oh, caught you sleeping? actually nasa estimates as many as 500 billion galaxies in this universe. my point being that we are not as invincible as we think we are. we are not as righteous as we think we are. we are just humans, "each of us, every one." so lets get over the mythologies borrowed from someone else's ancestors, and figure out what it means to be human!
